Traffic Controller
About the opportunity
Indi Connect is seeking reliable and safety-focused Traffic Controllers to support projects across Adelaide and surrounding areas.
You’ll work as part of a professional site team to help manage vehicle and pedestrian movement, maintain safe work zones and keep projects running smoothly. Assignments may include civil works, road maintenance, construction projects, community events and other short- or long-term engagements.
This role suits people who communicate clearly, take safety seriously and can remain calm and alert in changing site conditions.
What you’ll be doing
- Directing vehicles and pedestrians safely around work areas
- Setting up, monitoring and packing down traffic-control equipment
- Following approved traffic-management plans and site instructions
- Communicating with supervisors, crews, drivers and members of the public
- Identifying and reporting safety risks or changing site conditions
- Maintaining a professional and respectful presence on site
- Completing required pre-starts, sign-ons and project documentation
What you’ll bring
- Current South Australian traffic-control qualifications
- White Card
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Appropriate PPE
- A strong understanding of workplace health and safety
- Clear communication and the ability to follow instructions
- Reliability, punctuality and a positive approach to teamwork
- Flexibility to work early starts, nights or weekends when required
Previous experience on civil, construction or infrastructure projects is highly regarded.
